“How Is The Market?” is by far the most frequently asked question I’ve heard as a Realtor and is usually the most difficult to answer. It is probably because we constantly come across dozens of real estate market statistics and facts from the media and they all seem to have different opinions.

If you’re trying to figure out if  it’s a good or bad time to buy or sell then the numbers reported by the media usually do not benefit you. This is because most of the statistics reported are National and focus only on major metropolitan cities.  What happens in Toronto does not necessarily happen here and we all should understand is that although it is important to have an idea about National Trends, the key factor for determining your market place are through Local Statistics and Trends.

That is why it is extremely important to hire a local Realtor with a proven “track record” who is familiar with local trends and statistics that affect your current market and is still able to facilitate a successful transaction.
